Ready For A Beauty Flashback?
Henri Bendel Says “Hello Gorgeous!”: Fifth Avenue Retailer
To Host
Unique and Interactive Retro-Inspired Beauty Event July
11-17
|
|
Leading-edge New York fashion and beauty retailer Henri
Bendel will host a unique beauty event July 11-17 inspired
by the new book Hello Gorgeous! Beauty Products in
America, ‘40s-’60s”,
a chic social commentary on beauty advertising through the
decades. |
| |
|
For
one week, Bendel’s Fifth Avenue Atrium will be transformed
into a delightfully retro and interactive beauty shopping
experience. Shoppers will be invited to treat themselves to
a makeover and beauty consultation while seated with a
makeup artist at a funky vintage kitchen table (just like
the one grandma used to have!), or within a vintage ‘50s
bedroom setting straight from a teen-queen’s daydreams. Clad
in matching pastel hostess aprons, beauty experts from three
of Bendel’s top-selling indie cosmetic brands –
BeneFit,
Pout and
Tarte – will be on hand to present customers with
the latest trends in summer beauty, plus a few timeless
looks with a decidedly vintage flair. “Beauty Flashback” and
“Five Minutes to Fabulous” makeovers, smoky mod-inspired
eyes, ruby pin-up girl lips, and bombshell false lashes are
just a few of the retro-glam treats on offer. In addition,
vintage advertisements from the book will be featured in Bendel’s windows and within the store.
Visitors to Bendel’s will also have the opportunity to enter
to win one of two Hello Gorgeous! travel packages
complete with accommodations, spa treatments, and other
glamorous goodies. |
